I built my career doing serious analytical work in Alaska, spending a quarter-century taking on difficult consulting challenges, interpreting and developing meaning from data, and providing information and decision support for clients who had to make consequential decisions.

Hess Mountain Group LLC is my next chapter, and it’s a different approach to professional work. Summers are focused on wilderness experiences and deep thinking, winters on creating and consulting. I take on a handful of consulting engagements each year, chosen based on my skill set and its fit with the problem. You can read about consulting areas on the Consulting page.

Everything I make or do comes from a commitment to a deep-thinking, slow, and contemplative approach. It is this measured approach that forms the core of Hess Mountain Group and how I provide value to my clients.
